The Infrastructure Interdependencies Simulation (I2Sim) is a tool for studying the interdependencies between complex critical infrastructures. The I2Sim toolbox has versatile capabilities and has been used on many applications such as disaster response, resource optimization, financial management, etc. In the past few years, the I2Sim team has mainly focused on disaster response applications and has had great success in this area. In addition to continuing the work on critical infrastructure systems for disaster response, we are currently expanding this work into smart power systems applications, including risk and reliability analysis in distribution systems, smart homes, and the development of energy self-sufficient communities including financial and economic factors.
